The Singapore Apex Corporate Sustainability Awards represent the most prestigious form of recognition for companies in Singapore on corporate sustainability.

The Awards recognise organisations that have demonstrated excellence in sustainability, and highlight standards for those aspiring to better their sustainability practices.

The Awards is organised by Global Compact Network Singapore (UN GCNS), which is the local chapter of the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.

As the leading voice on corporate sustainability, UN GCNS provides an ecosystem for companies to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and take actions to achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Singapore Apex Corporate Sustainability Awards are open to companies registered in Singapore.

The Awards categories are further subdivided into Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Non-SMEs categories. For clarity on the difference between SMEs and Non-SMEs please head here.

No, there is no fee for applying to the Singapore Apex Corporate Sustainability Awards.

During the preliminary round, the Knowledge Partners and UN GCNS will review all entries.

A maximum of five applicants will be shortlisted in each sub-category based on the highest mean score. Subsequently, UN GCNS and the Knowledge Partners will conduct a site visit to verify data and/or view systems/operations on site. They will be provided with a set of questions / documents that would require to be answered/ furnished.

Upon the satisfactory conclusion of the site visits, finalists will be informed if they have progressed to the final judging phase. During the final judging, a panel of 5 independent judges from the business community, academia and government will judge the final presentation. Immediate past winners are not allowed to participate in the same category they were awarded. However, they may participate in another category.

If the company did not win in the immediate past year, they can participate. However, it is advised that they take at least 1-2 years to improve on their practices before applying again so as to improve their chances at winning.

Please also note that a company can only be accorded the “Apex Winner” title once. If a company has been awarded the Apex Winner title, they may participate again but the highest title that they may be awarded in subsequent years would be “Winner”.

Yes you can. However the judges from this service provider will not participate in discussion on your company's outcome during the final judging.
